Oliver John (John):
NZ Army. Reg. No. 10085, Major, WWII. On January 20, 2017, peacefully at Chatswood Retirement Village, in his 99th year. Dearly loved husband of Margaret (deceased) and Angela, loved father and father-in-law of Chris and Robyn, Roger and Sheila, Marcia and Angus, Charles, and Oliver and Anne, loved grandfather of Tim, Peter, and Philip; Aengus; Erica, Zoë and Bridget; Jean-Baptiste and Hugo, great-grandfather of Reuben, and Toby; and Stella. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Oliver John Drennan, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The Funeral Service for John will be held in St Barnabas Anglican Church Hall, 8 Tui Street, Fendalton, on Friday, January 27, at 11.00am.
