Neil was an amazing support to the people of Rwanda. His love of the sponsored children he sponsored for his grandchildren was very special. Those 15 children will always remember his kindness and interest in them all. It is our hope that his grandchildren will follow Neil's interest in the people of Africa.

I always wondered how you got the nickname "Grumpy" because I only ever witnessed a big grin, that wicked twinkle in your eyes and a gentle manner. You were indeed a "rough diamond" with impeccable taste, a true intellect and a real gentleman. You will be so missed by so many.

Grumps, sadly our trips back home will not be the same anymore. We will miss spending time discussing memories of the early days of M/F and the troubles you would get yourself into. Work Hard and Play Hard was you motto and there was certainly a lot of that in the formative years in Tuam St and Sonter Rd. Your inspiring words, leadership and values were the hallmarks of the man you became. We will forever have you in our hearts, rest easy Big Fella until we meet again - Malcolm & Denyce

A relaxed and can do chap was Neil. Great fun to be around during the rallying days. Always willing and generous. For me as part of the original Cowan and Allport team it was a real pleasure and motivational to be around Neil. Anyone knowing Neil would be
richer for the experience.
