Aileen and I fondly remember Leo over many many years. Leo was a lovely man and fine police officer.
We caught up last when we both lived in the Seaview Road area.
Leo leaves a very large footprint in the history of New Zealand Police. In his latter years he was a wonderful welfare officer who made such a difference to more junior police officers - often in need of his wise words and gentle helping hand. Aileen and I send our condolences to Leo's family.
With kind regards
Steve and Aileen Long
