To Donovan's family. I was on the Otago university students association when Donovan was on UCSA. He was such a considered sensible capable and genuine man. Am sure he continued to carry those qualities through his life. My condolences and aroha to you.

Catherine, I was incredibly shocked to hear this evening about Donovan's passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know Donovan as a result of his Air New Zealand loyalty. Over coffee I felt like I knew you and his wonderful girls. I haven't seen him a great deal over the last couple of years, but he really was a wonderful man, and he always made me feel that he was my biggest fan. Feeling incredibly sad for you all. The world has lost a special person.
