KURU, Dean Leslie Waka:
C55869 SSgt. RNZCT/RNZALR. With deep sadness the family wish to share that Dean passed away on 7th September 2018 in Nelson, in his 56th year. Loved partner of Sarah. Very very dearly loved father of Jamie, Jacqui and Neihana; and former husband of Leanne. Beloved "Motorbike-Grandad" of Mason and Lachlan. Dearly loved son of Judith and the late Toss, and loved grandson of the late Ida and Leslie Manuel. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Jan and Harvey, Stephen and Jill, Ian and Helen, Mark and Sonja, Nicky and Meegan and Andy. Beloved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Father figure to Danita and Papa Waka to her children. A Funeral service for Dean will be held at the Burnham Military Camp in Christchurch on Wednesday 12 September at 1.00pm. A service for family and friends will be held in the Hall behind the Entertainment Centre in Roxburgh on Friday, 14 September at 1.30pm before his interment at the Roxburgh Cemetery.
