Vera DENT Obituary

DENT, Vera:
On August 6, 2017, Vera passed away peacefully, aged 87 years. Dearly loved wife of Harry, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Jane and Simon Porter, Mark and the late Jen Dent, and Anna Wood, loved grandmother of Nicholas, and Laura; Brad, and Scott; Andrei, Nicole, and Amy, and loved by her 6 great-grandchildren. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Ruby and Alfred Helms, and John and Connie McFetridge. Special thanks to the staff at Anthony Wilding for their wonderful care and support over 6 years. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Vera Dent, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be made at the service. A Funeral Service for Vera will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Tomorrow (Saturday), at 10.00am, followed by interment at Avonhead Park Cemetery.

Dear Harry,Anna, Mark ,John & Connie and families,
You have carried out a faithful vigil looking after Vera so wonder fully Harry.
It will be a big gap in your days now.
Havent seen you for many years Anna..You are having a tough year Mark..lovely that Jennifer got down to ChCh for Dad's 90th birthday. You will have been diligent in visiting Vera at her place of care John and Connie Love to you all Derek and Adele Bird (Nee Wilson) Dunedin

I was thinking of you all there today after hearing of Veras passing and hearing todays service -Mums are special people and the future will be one filled with many fond memories of her.I remember 1972 Blue Gum Sunnyhills and the memories of you both with warm welcomes and hospitality shown to Marj. @ I in our early married years -thankyou
