My sincerest condolences to all of Richard's family. He was my 'boss' at Lincoln College in '76 and has been a good friend ever since. Kind, generous, extremely capable, yet ever so modest. Some wonderful memories. Now sadly missed.

My Deepest sympathy to family and friends in the very sad and untimely passing of Richard. He was a good friend for many years and our friendship goes back to when I certified him as a very competent diver in the 1960's. He will be sadly missed and remembered with fondness from all his friends in the Canterbury Underwater Club for all the support he gave the Club.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Richard was a very special person in my life. He was a kind and gentle guiding hand for a young man rushing at life. I will always remember his generosity and good company. He taught me so much about engineering and doing things properly, with good humour. A loving, open hearted man who I'm proud to have had as a friend.
