Ian MACINTOSH Obituary

MACINTOSH, Ian (Mack):
It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce that Mack died on Thursday, September 13, at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, after a short illness. Our Boyne River pirate, formerly of Cheviot, was the beloved husband and soulmate of Edwina Harding; cherished father and father-in-law of Kim and Blair, Lee and Garry, Hellie, and Hamish and Kirsty; loving stepfather of Te Huia; and adored brother of Janice and the late Bruce. Mack was the wonderful pirate Pumpa of Hunter, Bena, Reuben, Tia, Jacob, Cody, Shaunessy, Izaac, Zac, Rebecca, and Rachel; and six gorgeous great-grandchildren. We will farewell Mack at the Boyne Crematorium, Australia, on Thursday, September 20, at 2.00pm. All welcome. A huge thank you for the loving care that the team on Wards 4C and 4D at Princess Alexandra Hospital provided to Mack and Edwina. In lieu of flowers, we will be collecting donations for the Pancare Foundation at the service.

FAREWELL TO "MAC"
Thank you "MAC" for all the great memories. From the old shearing sheds of "Hukarere Station" and all the other sheds up the scrubby gullies in the high country of South Island New Zealand to the beaches of Gore Bay area - we were blessed to have shared such special times together.
Memories of a hard days work, dirty old roast mutton for the shearers, cold beer, great company, and good laugh... "them were the days that will never be again" but we did it, and we loved it!! Wouldn't be the same without you.
Mate, you were a hard working big softie who LOVED his family and friends, and I know you will be sorely missed.

Although we can't be there
The catching pen is empty, your job is done. Thank you old friend from a "dirty old presser "GC" and dirty old rouseabout "jelly"
All our love and good thoughts go out to all your family... rest up old friend and hang up the sweat towel and the "willie nelson"!
Love to you and
