Peter R (Townsend):
Captain, Ret. Safe Air. Passed away unexpectedly at Aberleigh Rest Home, Blenheim, on Sunday, March 11, 2018. In his 81st year. Father and father-in-law of Dean, Brett and Helen, Glenn Scott, and grandfather of Rosie and Emmerson. Messages may be sent to 50 Wildberry Street, Woolston, Christchurch 8023. No flowers please. Special thanks to staff at Aberleigh Rest Home for their unwavering care of Peter, and also thanks to staff of the former Lakewood Rest Home. "Pete the pilot" is on his final flight and a farewell for him will be held at the Mayfield Chapel, cnr Hutcheson and Parker Streets, Blenheim, at 3.00pm, on Thursday, March 15, followed by cremation at the Sowman Crematorium.
