Helen was an amazing friend to my mum and after her passing, both Chris and Helen became great friends to Alayne and I; becoming like grandparents to our son, River. It was a real shock to hear the news and she will be greatly missed. Thank you Helen. Rest now in God's care and enjoy the beauty of those heavenly gardens.

Helen was a workmate and friend. I will remember her for her professiionalism in the workplace.
Helen helped so many in their time of need, those who suffered loss during the Canterbury earthquakes and those in need of support . I remember how well Helen supported Rose and Mike and his family .
Chris and Helen were very generous in opening their home up for Ido and I before we got married.
Helen, I will treasure the times we met up with our friends, most recently in the Botanical Gardens only a few weeks ago and hearing about your travels aound America.
Helen was so excited that she was going to be a grandmother again
SO MUCH TO ADMIRE ABOUT HELEN.
To Chris, Simon, Jasontheir partners and Mila my warmest condolences.

Treasured are very happy memories of Mrs.Helen COLE the loving wife of Past District Governor Chris Cole Christ church New Zealand. Our prayers to God are to sustain Chris and all the Cole family members on their sudden loss of such a caring and lovely Lady. We reflect on our first visit to Christchurch New Zealand 2003. the District Kiwanis Convention at the Copthorne
Hotel,At that point of time Helen was operating the registration desk. She was the first person we spoke to.At that stage we knew just one other persontin N.Z.hat being Jim Kyle Matamata Kiwanis Club Since this first introduction Helen and Chris Cole
became wonderful friends exchanging home visits,
Christmas cards and sharing Int.Kiwanis wonderful experiences .Chris was the first person to ring us to enquire as to safety after the Marysville Bush Fires February 2009. It was thru the insistence of Helen and Chris that the Bandstand at Marysville came to be. They proposed NZ & SP Kiwanis District raise money for the project.Had it not been for the Cole influences it is possible the Marysville Bandstand would not enjoyed the l visits
of overseas Kiwanis International Presidents and Kiwanis Members from over the world. The Marysville Township is all the richer for Helen and Chris Cole's service to communities.
May God take into his care the soul of the late Mrs.Helen COLE .

It was with shock and disbelief that I read the message of Helen's passing from Chris. We have travelled and met in many parts of the world, not least the many wonderful visits to Adelaide to visit Jason, Amanda and especially Mila, when we nearly always got together. The gathering will not be the same without Helen, but the great memories will continue. Sincere condolences to Chris, Simon, Jason and the extended family from Peter and Yvonne.

Some view our earthquakes as doom and gloom but through that time, a beautiful friendship emerged with one of the most kind, compassionate woman who I ended up calling my second mum.
Our joint love of helping those less fortunate, xmas decorations, great wines, good coffee and lunches talking about our beloved Avondale and the east bought many smiles and laughter.
Your love for Chris and the family especially mila was huge.
A big gap in so many lives now with you now gone to which there is no good explanation.
An angel gone but never will be forgotten.

Helen Cole. I always asked who I was working with on the night's I was dragged in as an extra. I loved working with you Helen. She shared certain aspects of her life. She Loved you Chris, her boy's, Jason and Simon. She stated she was blessed with lovely "daughter-in-law's" and then her gorgeous Grand daughter. She was one in a million. Everybody Loved her. We are sooo sad at her sudden loss. Hopefully she did not suffer. Can't wait to catch up some time Helen Cole. I bet the Garden is blooming. !! Much Love Lynn-Marie Borlase. aka Nurse Gladys Sister

Helen was one of the first people I met when I started work with CDHB 12 years ago...
She was quite simply an awesome professional and person who I had the pleasure to share those night owl hours with. We are going to miss that delicious Christmas baking and crazy decorating...
My heartfelt condolences to her family ~ Chris, her boys, their wives and little Mila all of whom she adored.
Thank you Helen ...thank you for being a great colleague, friend and Christmas elf. The world is going to be a greyer place without you in it.
